The Timber Treatment Chemicals Soil Test Kit will allow you to test your soil for the four main chemicals used to treat timber in New Zealand and which we often then find in elevated levels in our residential soils as a result of it leaching from the timber into the ground: copper, chromium, arsenic & boron (CCAB).

What's in the Kit:

  • Sampling Instructions
  • Sample bag/s
  • Gloves
  • Sample Submission Form
  • Pre-Paid Sample Return Courier Bag
  • IANZ accredited laboratory analysis of your sample/s for heavy metals (x4) including lab report confirming any contamination levels
  • Professional assessment of your results from a qualified and experienced contaminated land specialist.

Your assessment report will include a comparison of your results against the relevant New Zealand Human Health Standards. It will include suggestions for next steps and where to find more information if soil contamination is identified.

This test kit and the report that you will receive is designed for personal use and cannot be used as evidence eg; for resource consent application. If a specialist contaminated land investigation is what you need, contact the team at EWB Consultants.

Turnaround time for test results:

You will receive your professional assessment report including laboratory results 10 working days from the date your soil sample is received by our office.
